Eight Unveils Birdsong

New adaptive lobby lounge concept launched for Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong

Hong Kong, 17 Oct 2025 – Global branding and design firm Eight Partnership continues its creative collaboration with Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong through the introduction of Birdsong. The concept is an open and adaptive 70-seat lounge that shares the 15th storey floor with the hotel lobby, serving as guests’ first touchpoint to the hotel.

Birdsong delivers hospitality that instantly feels streamlined yet sincere. Positioned as a fluid, third-wave space, the typical lobby is reimagined as a lived-in lounge. Under double-height ceilings, guests face unobstructed harbour views in the main area, right beside its flexibly fitted Living Room.

Thoughtful placemaking shape the space after guests’ movements as the day unfolds. The venue kickstarts as a barista-driven coffee lounge in the mornings, thoughtfully pairing its Elephant Grounds-collaboration roast with house-made treats, before giving way to afternoon tea service. The hotel’s signature Social Hour captures evenings with its conversational pulse, the space transitioning into a casual destination for curated wines and beers, bites, and mingling.

Embodying the hotel’s commitment of fostering connections and building community, the space is designed to transition with guests’ shifting needs. From hosting lifestyle pop-ups and art installations to DJ sets, the vibrant brand experience is backed by its equally as lively cultural programme, cementing the venue as more than just a gathering place.

Eight drew upon Signal Hill Garden to create Birdsong’s name and design, nodding to the landmark's century-old history as a gathering place for local bird-keepers. Crafting a brand identity rooted in this underlying narrative, the logo takes the form of a stylised sound-wave, evoking the call of a native Hong Kong bird. An earthen palette warmed by soft gold strikes a balance between approachability and refinement, making the everyday feel quietly elevated. This confident visual language extends across embossed menus, takeaway details, and curated collaterals.
